About Us

Ten Thousand Helpers of St.Croix is committed to preserving and improving Virgin Islands Culture primarily, and practically within the context of Caribbean Culture. Ten Thousand Helpers will impact all residents from the homeless to the affluent. As on avenue for act appreciation-Ten Thousand Helpers of St. Croix will showcase local handmade art; will be directly, responsible for marketing the artistic endeavors of its members; will provide workspace for local artistic and interested community members to teach craft and art in all its forms. Ten Thousand Helpers of St.Croix will be a catalyst for change in a community that is at risk, threatened by despair, and in need of the freedom to explain the healing power of creative expression. We will welcome any homeless person interested in improving their life and working in a cooperative spirit to make both Frederiksted and Christiansted healthy places to live.

Our mission is to provide medical clearance and transitional housing for homeless people on St.Croix. We will use alternatives and traditional approaches to therapeutically intervene when possible. Although collaboration with mainstream services we can assist in strengthening the individual. We will create a nurturing environment which holds the individual accountable for their behavior.
